For some, network marketing is just a fancy way of explaining some individuals try and make a few bucks selling to friends and neighbors.  For others, network marketing is a nebulous cloud they can never get their arms wrapped around.  For other still, it’s dream land, with a lifestyle and success they’ve only dreamed of before.  Now they are living it.  Why so much disparity when it comes to network marketing?  There are many reasons.

The stereotype of the network marketer, or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), is the person who is consistently asking friends, family members and co-workers to buy products that they kind of like, and kind of use.  They get a few friends and neighbors to buy a few things to satisfy the network marketer for a while until the new batch of products comes in the mailbox.

For others, it’s nebulous.  Is it selling to just friends and family?  Is it something you do on the internet?  Is it camping out in the middle of the mall in a kiosk trying to hawk products to passers-by?

But, for individuals who have taken network marketing to heart, and learned what it truly is and what it can be for them, it has been a success story.  Too many times when we don’t know the full truth about something we dismiss it very quickly.  We throw it away because we feel that either it’s just a passing fad, or overblown smoke and mirrors, or it’s way past our own abilities – the “no way can I figure out how to do that” scenario.

Network marketing can be a wonderful way to create a lifestyle and an income for individuals and families that is rewarding, gratifying and financially successful.  For those who dismiss it as “smoke and mirrors”, they have to realize that the business model is not going away.  Successful businesses use this model for one reason – it works!  Individuals who get into the world of network marketing get into it with the same goal – they want it to work for them, as well.

It can be a great way to earn a part-time income or even turn it into an income that you would trade for your daily job.  The personal, professional and financial rewards of running your own business, which is what network marketing truly is, offers much satisfaction to those who work at understanding it and have the drive to make it work for them.  It’s not just for the select few either.  It can be just right for you.
