“And forget about Plan B…”. That is a great line from one of the all time cult classic TV series, “Gilligan’s Island.” Every adventure or great action film has a Plan B. Some of the great events in history are the result of a Plan B. But, have we thought of a Plan B, for ourselves, our careers, our lives? Some of us are on a different pathway, not because we chose it but out of necessity. Loss of a job or a personal relationship is two monumental events that force us into a path we probably had not thought of before the event happened.

But we need to think of a “Plan B”, especially as history has taught us recently, we can get hit from ways we never thought of which can throw into a financial and personal spiral from which we may never recover. The recent economic challenges have placed many of us in the unenviable situation of a job loss, loss of health insurance, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and credit card debt, to name a few. These financial stresses inevitably lead to personal and family stresses, as well. All of this begs the question, “Have we thought of a Plan B, for our own lives and those of our family?”

Multi-level marketing, or MLM, has been around for a long time. Direct selling is a more apt description of what happens in this type of company.
